Sifnos Cuisine

As befits the birthplace of Nikolaos Tselementes, one of the most influential cookery writers of modern Greece, the island has many fine restaurants. But it is perhaps most famous for two traditional dishes – mastelo (meat, usually goat) and revithia (chick peas) slow cooked overnight in a clay pot.
